Our hugely respected Cwm Taf Care and Repair subsidiary provides services for older or disabled people living in privately-owned homes across Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil.

Job Role:

In this key role you will be part of the Repairs Team who provide quality and efficient services to our homes around Rhondda Cynon Taf. You will carry out repairs and maintenance work to our properties and communal sites, within acceptable quality standards to enable the completion of repairs at the first visit (first time fix).

You must have served an apprenticeship or obtained an equivalent NVQ level 3 in the required discipline, and a minimum of 3 years’ experience of completing tasks on domestic occupied properties.

Most importantly, you will be someone who is highly motivated, has an eye for detail and has a genuine passion and demonstrable experience of delivering quality services.  Being respectful and inclusive to colleagues and customers will be important to you.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Ensures that the carpentry and multi-skilled repairs and maintenance task are completed in accordance with agreed timescales and right first time.
  • Delivers repair and maintenance tasks in compliance with current legislation guidelines, the company’s procedures, policies, and standards.
  • Delivers repairs and maintenance services in line with customer service standards and good working practice
  • Participates in the repairs and maintenance out-of-hours emergency service when required, complying with the agreed call-out operational procedures.
  • Excellent record keeping on completed work activities in compliance with operational procedures and legislation requirements.
  • Drives the company provided vehicles, complying with vehicle management procedures.
  • Maintains the optimum level of material van stocks to maximise the opportunity to complete the repair task on the first visit to the property.
  • Supports the protection and safety of our customers by ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed and concerns are appropriately reported to Housing Management.
