Summary: Community Housing Officer

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Finance Reporting Manager to join our finance team. Adopting a customer focused approach, you will oversee the transactions team and work in partnership across the organisation leading the financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

We are here to improve the quality of life and life chances of people living in Torfaen and neighbouring communities, with a particular focus on supporting people who face disadvantage and exclusion.

We are currently running a six-month pilot of working a 4-day week that started on Monday 30 September 2024. The 4DW is based on a principle of 100 – 80 – 100: delivering 100% of the work, in 80% of the time, for 100% of salary.

Job Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Finance Reporting Manager to join our finance team. Adopting a customer focused approach, you will oversee the transactions team and work in partnership across the organisation leading the financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

As the Finance Reporting Manager, you will play a key role in developing and monitoring financial controls and systems across the organisation ensuring robust processes are in place to minimise risk.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with an understanding of the Social Housing Sector in Wales, with proven experience of developing relationships with teams internally and externally.

Location: Hybrid (time will be spent between our office in Cwmbran and at home)

Salary: £51,477

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time. 37 hours contractually, 30 hours within the work4 pilot
