About Us:
Established in 1996, Cardiff Community Housing Association—better known as CCHA—was formed when Adamsdown Housing Association and Moor Housing Association merged. Prior to becoming CCHA, Adamsdown and Moors had been providing homes in Cardiff for over 40 years. We are a non-profit organisation registered with charitable status and supervised by the Welsh Government.
We provide over 3,000 homes in Cardiff whilst being committed to working with our tenants to transform how we live and work within our neighbourhoods.

The Pathway to Board Programme is a groundbreaking initiative designed to equip Black, Asian, and minority ethnic individuals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to excel on boards across Wales and beyond. Now in its fourth year, our programme is changing lives, strengthening businesses, and redefining Welsh leadership. Over 55.5% of our alumni are now serving onboards, bringing fresh perspectives and driving positive change. 25% of our candidates have experienced career enhancement throughout the programme, and an increased self confidence in their leadership journey.
This nine-month board training programme offers comprehensive training, practical insights, and ongoing support, specifically tailored to springboard your new board journey. Participants will have networking opportunities, and a placement within an organisation in Wales where they can practise, observe and maximise their learning journey.

Imposter syndrome in the board room
Treasury management
Leadership skills
Mentorship:
Personalised guidance from experienced board members who are passionate about your success and want to contribute to changing Welsh organisations.
Real Boardroom Exposure:
Opportunities to observe live board meetings and gain first hand insights into board operations.

You don’t need prior board experience—that’s exactly what this programme is designed to provide! However, certain skills are essential for success in this journey, and we’ll assess these as part of the recruitment process.
