Our Finance team is growing, and we are looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant (Utilities) to come on board.
As an organised and self-motivated person who has a structured approach to your work, you will be an integral part of the purchase ledger and utilities team, making sure that all processing, payments and reconciliations are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Job Role:

As an organised and self-motivated person who has a structured approach to your work, you will be an integral part of the purchase ledger and utilities team, making sure that all processing, payments and reconciliations are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
You will have excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills, and a positive and innovative approach to problem solving will be key. You will be the first point of contact for our utility suppliers so will need to demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Prepare and process relevant financial information, which is fit for purpose in a complete and timely manner for all stakeholders.
  • Administration of utility contracts including utility invoice processing, resolving queries and chasing unapproved bills to ensure prompt payment
  • Lead a project to streamline and simplify the utility billing process.
  • Processing and coding of telephone bills.
  • Peer checking of payment runs to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide cover for the Purchase Ledger Assistant and support the wider team when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with and raise awareness of finance policies and procedures and other service level agreements to achieve consistent working practices.

Salary: £29,100.75

Contract: Temporary, 12 months
